GUHIT Pinas was founded by two young Bicolanos—Jaime Coralde III and Rodman Papros—who are both visionaries. They first met at a school publication where they worked together as campus journalists for over three years. Jaime was a cartoonist and Rodman was a writer. They parted ways when Rodman left the publication for the student council and finally graduated, but it did not end their bond.
GUHIT Pinas soon became a haven for visual artists from a vast array of institutions and groups, many of whom are youngsters and only beginning to realize their artistic potentials. Somehow the guild had triggered a revolution that could reshape the country’s entire creative industry down the road.
